In January of 2008 Ms. Gaissert made her Los Angeles Opera debut as the Isrealitish Man in Handel's Judas Maccabeus under the baton of James Conlon.
In Spring of 2008 Ms. Gaissert will be returning to Sarasota Opera to sing Maddalena in Rigoletto, Suzy in La Rondine and will be covering Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte. She is also a recipient of the Daniel R. Mandelker and Marlene N. Harris Fund of the Community Foundation for Sarasota County for Outstanding Studio Artists for the 2008 season.
In September and October of 2008 Ms. Gaissert has been selected to study and perform the title role in the The Rape of Lucretia with the Britten-Pears Programme in Aldeburgh, England. These performances are to be conducted by David Parry and directed by Edward Dick.
In November 2008 Ms. Gaissert will be singing the role of Dido in Dido and Aeneas as a part of a new multi-media production directed by Pat Diamond with the Sybarite Chamber Players at the Time Warner Center, NYC. See www.sybarite5.org for more info
